Summer full of learning and creativity

Summer is about having fun and letting your child’s imagination soar to new heights. Our Robotics & Coding Summer Camps check all of those boxes and more. They revolve around robotics so as to instantly engage and provide girls and boys with a fun, applied way to learn Java programming and creative problem-solving. Perfect for novices and advanced campers, they all learn engineering, coding, and design in a hands-on, collaborative environment. By following our one-of-a-kind Path to Mastery, campers participate in a project-based, gamifed experience that tracks their progress and awards them each time they advance to the next level. Follow along with your campers by watching their project videos that are uploaded privately to our Wonderwall webpage where you can share their accomplishments with family and friends. Campers also work in pairs to complete their projects which promotes collaboration and teamwork while making new friends. The journey is deep, so week to week, campers are always learning something new and having fun while doing it!

Why Wizbots?
Wizbots embarks kids on a lifelong path for success by sparking their interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) early on. Wizbots is unique in many ways:

  • Only Wizbots has developed a workbench allowing kids to learn to program their LEGO® robotics with Java, one of the world’s most popular and powerful programming languages. At Wizbots, they are defnitely learning a transferable skill.
  • Wizbots Path to Mastery curriculum is truly one-of-a-kind. Kids journey from Novice to Master at their own pace and are allowed all kinds of creativity, freedom, fun, and advanced concepts. Wizbots kids are solving problems, not building kits.
  • It’s important for girls to have early exposure to tech. Wizbots appeals to girls and boys, alike, as our program involves a plethora of extra creative materials encouraging art, imagination, and storytelling.
  • Only Wizbots securely uploads kids' completed project videos for parents to see and share. Thus, the experience can be carried home and the learning shared.
  • Robotics is expensive, yet we want to make it affordable and accessible to as many kids as possible. To this end, we offer best value pricing all the time so there can be robotics, coding, learning, and fun for all!

Who may attend?
All girls and boys ages 8-14 who will be entering grades 3-8 in the Fall are welcome to join us!

Who leads the camps?
Our instructors, or “Inventor Mentors” as we like to call them, come from various walks of life. All have experience teaching children and are fingerprinted and background checked. Each camp is led by one of our experienced Inventor Mentors who leads our year-round after school Robotics Labs. They also have an assistant, so campers are sure to get the help and supervision they need. Our maximum camper to staff ratio is 6:1.

Fun and Safe Wizbots is happy to welcome your children back to in-person camps this summer. The health and safety of your children is of primary importance to us. Here are some policies we are implementing at our camps to help ensure your children have a fun and safe time.

  • Stable small cohorts of up to 12 campers. Campers will not be added once camp starts to ensure we maintain a stable cohort.
  • Each camper will receive a kit with most of the equipment that they will need during the camp. Any shared equipment will be minimized and will be sanitized before and after each use by a camper.
  • Campers will be required to wear a mask at all times unless they are eating or drinking. Campers will be encouraged to step out of the classroom if they would like to eat or drink anything.
